Narberth Museum received a large amount of funding from the Lottery Fund, meaning they could renovate the Bonded Stores in Narberth and create a brilliant new museum, business conference area, shop and café. We were successful in tendering for the contract to create a new website to go with the museum renovation.
Our brief was to create really easy to use website which reflected the exciting of the museum whilst ensuring that the design was on-brand and aesthetically pleasing.
We were able to create an approved design fairly quickly, with just a few colour tweaks needed to our initial concepts. The homepage is made up of several ‘dynamic’ areas where new content is constantly being added, such as news, events, special exhibitions etc. This ever-changing homepage keeps regular visitors to the website interested, and keeps them coming back as there is always new information to read.
The website also has an ecommerce element, were all the books, photographs, toys etc that are sold in the shop are also available for online purchase. The museum has a unique collection of books documenting the history of Pembrokeshire, many of which are not available on Amazon.
We also helped the museum create an email template which allows them to create new emails and send to their subscription list whenever they want. This is useful for promoting museum events or special offers on their website shop. We created this in a third party too, which then would give them statistics on the emails uptake, such as who read it, which clicked on what button etc.
