Pembroke Town Council asked us to create a website that would provide information for both new visitors to the town as well as those living in and around the town. We created a website that had news, event and town council notification areas so that website users could easily find the information they were looking for.
As well as having recent news the website also housed several dozen pages explaining the town’s history. This required us to create three tiers of navigation whilst keeping the structure intuitive, so that the website users didn’t get lost in the structure of the website. This was done by the use of a ‘breadcrumb’ navigation and a side bar that showed levels 2 and 3 of the navigation.
The website has a large amount of monthly traffic with a good balance of repeat visits and new visits, this suggests that the website is being used by local people keeping abreast of the latest town news and new visitors who are looking to explore the town when they visit on holiday. This combination of old and new visitor means that TP10 fulfilled the website brief.
We continue to work with the town council and we’re currently making updates to the aesthetics of the website to keep it looking interesting and fresh.
